Are You Ready for Easter? *GIVE AWAY*

Are you ready for Easter?  My daughters decorated eggs at their Nana's house already, but I still had to buy a carton of eggs to do with Mom.  :)  So today we color eggs, and my middle daughter was invited to a birthday party so we head out for that in a bit.  Busy day cleaning and preparing for bunny - I love holidays!  I have half a mind to start on some Easter place mats for the table...but I guess I'm a little behind on that!

Below is a shot of my Easter manicure, I had to share...and the polishes I used behind it.  Totally not quilt related but you know sometimes I find myself attempting to match my quilting projects to my nails or vice versa.  Still a girl you know.  ;)

I know you all love a good give away and there's still time to enter mine!!  Only 14 people have signed up to win a SNAP POP CHARM PACK so far and all you have to do is follow me on Facebook and comment!  ---->  Click HERE to Enter!!!

A Beachy Tote

Well, I didn't list as much on my Etsy Shop as I'd have liked to this week but I did finish this beachy feeling tote.  It's batik sunflower fabric paired up with a neutral tan and a brown...but to me it has a cool sort of "I'm going to the Caribbean but I refuse to wear orange" kind of feeling to it!  LOL*

I free motion quilted this on my domestic...WOWSA what a difference going back to the sewing machine after quilting so much on the long arm.

I made two of these but only listed on...I'm half tempted to keep one, I just love the colors and texture so much!

Keep an eye out for a GIVEAWAY coming VERY SOON!

Finally FINISHED!!!

I forgot about the Friday Night Sew In!  After a long day at the expo I was ready to come home and finish up this...finally!!!

Handmade by Heidi

Fun at the Sewing and Quilt Expo!

Just got home not too long ago...and my kiddos who I missed very much are demanding my attention so I'm going to post quickly and give it to them!  :)  Sad to say there were a lot of "no photograph please" booths so I put the camera down and got distracted pretty early on with shopping.  I did get a few fun photos!  I had to be home early to pick up the kiddos so we didn't even get to see the quilts!!!

Momma and I had to get our picture taken by the polkadot dress girl!  LOL*  CUTE!  We showed our tickets and got our wrist bands...

Oooh weee then off to shop!

It was two levels...this room upstairs and then the entire lower level.  We skipped out of the upstairs pretty quickly...I tell you we were there for FOUR  hours but we could have stayed longer if we'd decided to do classes or stay for the floor shows.

Here is the first level room as you walk in....booths set up and shopping EVERYWHERE!!!

...and that's where the camera went into the purse and my wallet came out!!!  LOL*  Below is a shot of my little haul.  I didn't get too much.  Of course I hit the Superior Threads booth and picked up some Omni thread cones, some netting, and some superbobs.  This is all they had left in neutrals so hopefully they work for me!  I hear such great things about them.  My least favorite thing about my long arm is the L sized bobbins so I was hoping that the prewounds would allow me a few less bobbin changes.  *fingers crossed*

I was on a mission to get long arm rulers so I picked up a ditch ruler and one for curved cross hatch.  I was excited to see those Radical Rulers up close since I've heard so much about them and there are one or two more I'd like to have but I'll have to wait to get them.  These I know I'll use at least.

These stencils really impressed me - they are made to be used with a pounce.  The one at the show was a bit pricey so I'm going to pick one up at Jo Ann Fabrics so I can try these out.  I can't wait to use them on something!!!  I was a little bummed that the lady selling them said she was NOT a quilter...WHAT????!!  LOL*

Sorry I didn't get more pictures!  My next fun shopping trip I promise I will.  Now I'm off.  The kids have come in here about a half dozen times to interrupt so I must GO!  LOL*  I'm almost done with the dresden quilt and I will post pictures soon.

One More of Laura's and A Happy Birthday From Hubby

Here's the last of three quilts Laura sent me, just before it went home to her.  I wanted to get some better photos of this one but ran short on time.  This was the first time I used this swirling circle effect and I think it turned out really great with the echoing around the applique.

I just LOVE the texture!!  I am so glad spring is here so I will hopefully get some good afternoon sun for photographing.

Even on the frame the swirls give off to me a really whimsical prim feel that I think works well.

Thank you again Laura for sending your quilts!  These were so much fun!

I did want to post a little photo of the sweet gifts the Husband gave me for my birthday too...isn't he awesome?  This isn't everything but boy, he's got me pegged.  That ruler there is the "Navigator" that some of my quilting pals have inquired about.  I know it is made by USAUS - but that's about all I know.  There is a video on YouTube demonstrating how to use it - and I did try it out!  It's tricky!!!

Have a great day out in blogland!!  Hopefully I'll have some pictures for you tomorrow or the next day of the Sewing and Quilt Expo in Cleveland!!!

Another of Laura's Quilts

Here are a few pictures of another of Laura's beautiful quilts!  This one really got all the "oooh's and ahhhh's" from visitors while on the frame.

I just love the fabric choices on this one.  Oh browns and pinks...how can you go wrong??!!  :)  Again Laura let me choose the quilting design so I picked a "wrought iron" pantograph.

I think it turned out lovely...and it should be arriving to her any day now!  Yay!

Everyone seems to enjoy seeing their quilt on the frame...here are a few shots of yours Laura!

While quilting...

...and fresh of the frame!  Hope everyone in blogland is having a wonderful week so far.  I've come down with my daughter's cold!  Yuck!  So I am off and headed for bed for the afternoon!  :)

***There is still time to vote on which Moda Charm Pack you would like to see given away!  "Like" The Pumpkin Patch Quilter on Facebook and comment on my post asking which charm pack of the three named you would like to win!

Laura's Quilt and How About A GIVEAWAY?

Blogging friend Laura of Pine Ridge Quilter sent me this beauty to quilt for her.  Laura has just been the most wonderful person to quilt for I tell you, pleasant in every way and always so cheerful to talk with!  I am so honored that she would send her quilts to me.

I just love the colors of this quilt.  I chose a cream thread to coordinate with the front and back.  Laura allowed me to quilt these however I wanted, oh isn't that music to a long arm quilter's ears??  :)  I chose my favorite paisely/floral free hand design...it works so well with prim, traditional, and modern quilts alike.

LOVE this backing fabric.  I'm a fan of creamy or white backings.  I just love the texture once quilted!

I will post more of Laura's quilts in the upcoming days, and of course I've been promising a lesson on feathers and my birthday presents from the Hubby!  I promise I will get there!  I'm a girl who keeps her word.  :)

Other exciting happenings this week, I'm headed to the Sewing and Quilt Expo in Cleveland, Ohio!  I have never been before so I'm really looking forward to it.  My Mother is coming with me so we are planning to spend the day doing some hard core shopping and spying of beautiful quilts!!!

I know all of you love a good GIVEAWAY!!!

So here's the deal - I'm going to have a Facebook friend giveaway in the upcoming week or so...but first, I want to know what YOU would like to WIN!

"Like" The Pumpkin Patch Quilter on Facebook  and answer my post asking which of the three Moda Charm Packs mentioned you would like to win!  Whichever pack gets the most votes will be given away to one of my Facebook followers!

Then, keep an eye out here on my blog and on FaceBook for the giveaway!

Customer Quilt and It's My Birthday!

I'm not ashamed.  I'm gonna brag.  It's my birthday!!!  Lol*  I don't know if I like the number so much, eep! Today I turn 32...wheeeew how'd that happen?  The Husband gave me a really awesome long arm gadget that I'll save for tomorrow to share.  Today I wanted to post some long awaited pictures of a customer quilt I recently finished.

Kimberly of My Brown Bag Studio was brave and kind and sent me a beautiful quilt of hers to quilt for her!  I have admired Kimberly's craft skills for years and I gotta say I felt super special that she would allow me to work on her quilt.  Thank you again Kimberly, you're a great blogging pal and a wonderful quilter!  Now for some pictures...

Hope everyone is getting some quilting done in blogland!  I know I am!
