Hang in there in school......I did the exact same thing, went back with a 4 year old and a baby on the way.......I started my first nursing job as a graduate nurse on my 3oth birthday.....I passed my boards with ease and got high grades in nursing school too. Child number 2 was born about 1/2 through the nursing program.
Oh yeah after I graduated from nursing, I worked a year then I went back and got my critical care training...an 18 month program offered by our local hospital.
Crafts....never had time while in school...but started quilting to unwind from working ICU/CCU.
