Nuthin' Fancy

Yay! Finally a free day! No where to go, no place to be, just me, the girls, and some laundry. Can you believe I finally got to play with the sewing machine in between folding? Not too much, but enough to get me motivated for more!

We are doing a block of the month at the local quilt guild and after seeing a few of the other ladies beautiful blocks I wasn't too thrilled with my own anymore! A few ladies have done black & white and I just love the look so I thought I'd try my own black & white version. I think the blue makes it look kind of Parisian!

I've always loved black and white quilts but have only done one. Your blocks are wonderful - I know this will be a fun quilt to make. blessings, marlene

Very pretty blocks. I like the blue background. A unique twist. Almost like stars in the sky.

I do like the blue - it seems to 'lift' the black and white. I think it will make it a lot easier rone th eye as well.

I know what you mean about Parisian though - and in 48 hours I'll be in France!!! Sadly not Paris, but about 3 hours north.

I like black and white quilts. They have sort of a sophisticated look but can also be very whimxical.
